Elkhart Superintendent Larry Huff will receive a $285,000 salary, compared to his $218,000 approved by the Elkhart Community Schools board in June, and he'll no longer have to lead what could be an unpopular school consolidation process in Elkhart.

Elkhart Community Schools Superintendent Larry Huff declined the board's offer to pay him up to $20,000 annually if students reach performance targets, and another $10,000 in the contract's final year if he's still on the job in 2028.

Steven Hope has been at Goshen Schools since 2017 and plans to retire, per the school board.
