On Sunday morning Pete Buttigieg appeared on Meet the Press to talk about his strategy going into Super Tuesday. By the end of the day he had dropped out of the race. We talk to two reporters (WVPE's Jennifer Weingart and Jeff Parrott of the South Bend Tribune) who have covered Buttigieg to find out how his supporters are reacting, and how his experience as mayor of South Bend had an impact on his campaign.

We also talk to a public health expert to get an update on the coronavirus, and to help us identify misinformation about the outbreak.

Pete Buttigieg supporters gathered in South Bend to watch the Iowa caucuses play out Monday night. It was a long night with delayed results… but enthusiasm in the Buttigieg campaign remained high.

CHICAGO (AP) — Sen. Amy Klobuchar says she and other top female presidential candidates wouldn't be on the debate stage if they had the same experience as Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg opened his new presidential campaign office Thursday night in South Bend.

South Bend residents gathered Thursday night for the final community meeting in a series for the public to give input on the City’s police practices. The meeting was about next steps.

Residents looked over notes taken from previous meetings and decided what policy recommendations were most important to have on the final document for the Board of Public Safety.

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and leaders of the City’s Common Council gave an update Wednesday night on affordable housing projects in the southeast neighborhood. 

The City partnered with organizations like 466 Works to help revamp the southeast neighborhood with new roads and affordable housing. Some homes are now up for sale.

Wednesday Buttigieg continues another swing through Iowa with town halls and house party meet and greets in the eastern part of the state. Iowa holds the first in the nation caucuses ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

ATLANTA (AP) — Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will get a debate rematch in the second round of Democratic presidential primary debates, while Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren will share a stage to argue their progressive visions.

CNN randomly assigned 20 candidates to the two stages in a drawing broadcast live Thursday night. The debates are being held over two nights, July 30-31, in Detroit.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — The Indiana city where Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is mayor is considering buying additional body cameras for its police officers, although it's unclear if the proposal was spurred by a white police officer's recent fatal shooting of a black man.
