Developers involved in the renovation and restoration of a historic Michiana hotel announced Wednesday that The Hotel Elkhart will be part of the Hilton family of hotels. Specifically, it will be part of the upscale Hilton Tapestry Collection. The downtown Elkhart hotel, which was originally built in 1923, will feature 93 guest room, dining, bars, a ballroom and business and event space. Developers had originally planned to open this summer. That opening has now been pushed back to March of 2021 due to delays resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
