Tuesday former South Bend Councilman, Henry Davis Jr., won his council seat back.
Davis was elected to the 2nd District seat last night. He will replace Regina Preston-Williams who did not seek reelection as she pursued a primary bid to become South Bend's mayor.
Davis faced controversy during his previous council term. He was stopped for drunk driving in 2014. His tweets during that same time also came under scrutiny by his fellow council members. He ran in a failed bid to unseat South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg in the May Democratic primary election in 2015.
