Elkhart County Prosecutor Vicki Becker on Wednesday issued a statement saying it could still be months before evidence can be reviewed for her to determine whether two yet-to-be-identified Elkhart Police officers were justified in fatally shooting 17-year-old Bryan Ramirez Gomez on Feb. 8 at High Dive Park. She said she won't release body or dash cam video until her investigation is complete.

St. Joseph County Prosecutor Ken Cotter has determined that Mishawaka officers followed Indiana statute for using deadly force when they shot suspects Chad Bean and Stephen Sherwood in separate recent cases.

Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson on Wednesday said it will likely be early next week before Elkhart County Prosecutor Vicki Becker announces whether two officers were justified in fatally shooting 17-year-old Bryan Ramirez Gomez on Sunday in High Dive Park.
