“We are hopeful that we’re going to have a lot of interest in it, when we put it out for RFP, looking for residential livability relationships,” said Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson.

Having vacated both courthouses for their new $112 million courthouse between Elkhart and Goshen, Elkhart County officials want the downtown Elkhart facility demolished and the historic Goshen courthouse renovated for new uses.

The new Elkhart County Courthouse, costing an estimated $112 million, will consolidate the county's existing courthouses in Goshen and Elkhart. Trials will start this fall.
