Elkhart’s new Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area raised several questions during Monday’s common council meeting. It would let you take alcoholic drinks from one bar or restaurant outside and into another participating business.

Elkhart officials say their proposed Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area will make it easier to take alcoholic drinks in approved cups from participating bars and restaurants outdoors, especially during events like Jazz Fess and Art Walk.
