Paradise Valley Schools attorney Susan Segal told the board Cummings lied when he said he didn't receive a buyout in South Bend, and he violated many district policies and his contract during his three months on the job before he was placed on leave.

The Paradise Valley Unified School District board Tuesday night voted unanimously that Superintendent Todd Cummings should be fired for violating multiple policies, including lying on his job application.

The Paradise Valley Unified School District in Phoenix earlier this year hired Todd Cummings as superintendent despite the South Bend school board publicly investigating various allegations against him.

The Paradise Valley Unified School District board was set Tuesday to consider placing former South Bend Superintendent Todd Cummings on paid leave, for a reason the board's meeting agenda doesn't specify, and appointing an interim superintendent.
