Mishawaka Emergency Room Dr. Zachary Walker says July 4 fireworks injuries are "almost guaranteed" each year, with hand and eye injuries most common, usually happening to pre-teen and teenage boys who are legally too young to buy fireworks.

The Saint Joseph Health System introduced a new virtual nurse program to improve patient care and help meet the growing demand for nurses.
