A traveling Vietnam memorial wall arrived in South Bend today for the first time in more than 20 years.

The Wall That Heals is a slightly smaller version of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. - but it's meant to equally honor Americans who served in the War.

Wednesday night people gathered on the basketball court at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreational Center in South Bend to remember victims of gun violence, including Eric Logan.

Logan was killed by a South Bend Police officer Sunday.

Organizers designed the event as a forum for concerned community members  to share and to vent their frustrations.

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten attended. Buttigieg had been criticized by some in the community for not attending a vigil for Logan that was held Monday.
