First "Mayor's Night Out" In South Bend Since Buttigieg Officially Announced Candidacy

Peter Ringenberg

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is holding his first ‘Mayor’s Night Out’ since officially announcing his candidacy for President in April.

The Mayor’s Night Out events in South Bend are usually a chance for residents to meet one on one with the Mayor and other city officials about any problems they’re having.

Thursday’s event will be a bit different than normal. To accommodate a larger crowd, the beginning of the event will be town hall-style.

Residents will be asked to write down their questions when they arrive.

Questions will be drawn at random and answered on stage.

Other city officials will be available after the town hall for questions.

Seating at the South Bend Civic Theatre is first-come, first-served. The
event begins at 5:30. It is recommended that those who wish to attend
arrive early.
