The Indiana Department of Health’s color-coded COVID-19 tracking map shows fewer counties in the least serious “blue” category for the second week in a row.
All WVPE listener counties are now in the “yellow” category this week, except for LaGrange and Pulaski County. They’re still in the blue, which indicates the lowest spread of the virus.
Marshall County saw conditions worsen this week, moving from the blue to the yellow. Yellow indicates moderate coronavirus spread. The remaining counties in the WVPE listening area all maintained their yellow status from last week.
Statewide, two counties are in the more serious “orange” category – Jackson County, in the southern part of the state, and Jasper County, in the western part of the state.
Less than half of Indiana’s 92 counties are now in the least serious “blue” category. Over the last two weeks, the number of blue counties statewide has decreased by a third.
