If you want to weigh in on how the city of Mishawaka should spend its American Rescue Plan funding, tonight is your chance.
The common council is holding a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the city’s federal COVID-19 relief funding. The meeting will take place at City Hall and will be broadcast on the city’s Facebook page.
Mishawaka received almost $12 million from the American Rescue Plan Act. Federal guidelines say that money can be used to support public health expenditures, address the negative economic impacts caused by the public health emergency, replace lost public sector revenue, provide premium pay for essential workers and invest in water, sewer and broadband infrastructure.
