Election officials in Elkhart County were still working to count ballots on Wednesday after facing delays in retrieving results from one voting center and processing thousands of absentee ballots.

Derek Dieter will lose his county commissioner seat at the end of the year because of the Republican Party effectively redistricted him out of his seat.
