Seven artists from around the country, including one from South Korea, will start painting murals in South Bend on Wednesday.

The city of South Bend is inviting people age 18 and older to offer designs and paint sidewalk murals to raise awareness of how storm drains send pollutants into the St. Joseph River.

Artists from around the country last week painted seven murals as part of Downtown South Bend Inc.'s fourth annual Mural Mania. It's funded by the city, philanthropic grants, payments from building owners, and GoFundMe.

Tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 the city of South Bend invites the public to the new MLK Dream Center for the first discussion on what kind of public art will be erected outside the entrance.
