This event is being hosted by the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District, in partnership with The Rees.

What: Chautauqua Plein Air Paint Out
When: Fri., May 22 and Sat., May 23
Time: 9 AM-5 PM
Where: Oakwood Resort, 702 E. Lake View Rd, Syracuse, Indiana
Cost: Free
Plein Air painting is the art of painting outdoors, capturing natural light and scenery. Starting at 9:00 am, artists will select a location and scene, and paint throughout the day on both Friday and Saturday. There will be a demonstration during the 12th Annual Fine Arts Festival. At 4 pm, awards will be presented. Artwork will be available all day for purchase.

Each Saturday, take a step back in time. Visit Pears Mill, an 1857 water-powered mill. Located in Buchanan, Michigan’s downtown Historic District. The mill is adjacent to Buchanan Farmers Market. Frequent demonstrations. Pears Mill is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday from May 6th through Labor Day. There is no charge

The Wawasee Fine Arts Festival returns to the park in Oakwood Resort for the 12th year. This FREE Festival brings together more than 35 local and regional artists from around Indiana and beyond. All art has been juried to qualify for inclusion in the festival. The beautiful outdoor setting provides a family-friendly environment. Children’s activities and playground are available. Food vendors are onsite for snacks and lunch, with outdoor seating available.
