Suspect In University Park Mall Killing Turns Himself In

According to officials with the St. Joseph Co. Prosecutor's Office, Sunday evening Dazhon A. Howard, 21, of South Bend, turned himself in. He was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on an outstanding arrest warrant for the Sept. 17 murder and felony firearms charge filed in connection with a deadly shooting at the University Park Mall in Mishawaka. 

Delaney Crosby was allegedly killed by Howard.
 
Howard was previously ordered held without bond and remains in custody at the St. Joseph
County Jail.
 
He is scheduled to appear before a St. Joseph County Jail Magistrate Monday, September 28th, at 1:00 p.m. for his arraignment in South Bend.

Today the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office charged Dazhon A. Howard, 21 of South Bend, in
 connection with the September 12, 2020, fatal shooting of Delaney Crosby at University Park Mall, Mishawaka. He is charged with Murder and a Felony Firearm Sentencing Enhancement.

Probable cause was found and an arrest warrant issued. He was ordered held without bond.

At the issuance of this release, he has not been taken into custody.

Law enforcement is asking for assistance in locating Dazhon Howard. He is a black male, 5’8”, approximately 160 pounds (please see attached photo). The sentencing range for Murder is 45 to 65 years. A Felony Firearm Sentencing Enhancement can add an additional 5 to 20 years to the conviction of the underlying offense.
