Mishawaka High School moves to e-learning Monday due to threat

School City of Mishawaka

Mishawaka High School has moved to an e-learning day due to a threat against the school.

In a post on the district’s Facebook page, the district says it has not been able to determine if the threat is credible, but the high school moved to an e-learning day out of an abundance of caution.

All students, staff and teachers are working from home. The e-learning day only applies to Mishawaka High School — all other city schools are open for in-person learning today.

Mishawaka High School is the latest Michiana school to move to e-learning due to a threat. Last Friday, Goshen Community Schools went online out of an abundance of caution due to a video circulating on TikTok.

And a Concord Junior High School student was arrested last Thursday on felony intimidation charges over a similar threat toward that school.

In Michigan, all Lakeshore Public Schools were closed last Tuesday and Wednesday due to threats. Edwardsburg Public Schools were closed on Dec. 10.
