Only 5 Indiana Counties Remain In Red On Latest COVID-19 Map, Elkhart & Marshall Counties In Yellow

Indiana Dept. of Health

Big changes are depicted from the previous week with the latest release of the Indiana Dept. of Health's COVID-19 county-by-county map.

Only five Hoosier counties are in red, the lowest number in that designation since November. Two counties in the WVPE listening area are in yellow. Elkhart and Marshall counties both now have the most improved designation in our area.

Elkhart and Marshall counties will still have to follow the state's guidelines for "orange" counties until they have remained in the yellow for two consecutive weeks. Since LaPorte and Starke counties were in the red last week, they'll have to follow the stricter "red" guidelines for two weeks.

Today at 2:30pm Indiana Gov. Holcomb holds his weekly COVID-19 update where this latest map will be discussed.

This story will be updated.
