Having vacated both courthouses for their new $112 million courthouse between Elkhart and Goshen, Elkhart County officials want the downtown Elkhart facility demolished and the historic Goshen courthouse renovated for new uses.

The new Elkhart County Courthouse, costing an estimated $112 million, will consolidate the county's existing courthouses in Goshen and Elkhart. Trials will start this fall.

In a statement posted on his website, Rogers says he was a member of the Oath Keepers at one point but has not been part of the organization for eight years.
