Flock cameras

The Marshall County Commissioners Monday voted 3-0 to change to annual contracts with Flock Safety for license plate readers, to allow more scrutiny of the system as public privacy concerns grow.

St. Joseph County’s Republican candidates for sheriff and prosecutor say Flock cameras are a great tool, but they’re open to more guardrails.

Police say Bobbie Jo Novak abducted a 3-month-old child from a home east of Plymouth Tuesday. Less than three hours later a Flock camera spotted the car moving in Merrillville, arrested the suspect, and returned the child to her parents.
