Indiana Dinosaur Museum

The city of South Bend is paying a consultant more to analyze an intersection but the Indiana Department of Transportation says even if traffic warrants a stoplight, installing one at the Indiana Dinosaur Museum might be unsafe because of the proximity of U.S. 31 ramps.

With the number of visitors the roughly year-old Indiana Dinosaur Museum already is drawing, plus attractions it still plans to develop, city of South Bend officials say a full traffic signal at U.S. 20 and Olive Road is needed.

A new trail system will someday connect parks, nature preserves, towns, and tourism destinations in St. Joseph County. But first, planners want to hear from the public.
