Who: Hosted by the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club. Open to seasoned triathletes, beginners, and relay teams. Organized by Co-Chairs Jeff Owens and the Optimist committee.
What: A premier regional triathlon featuring a scenic swim in Winona Lake, a fast-paced bike course through the countryside, and a run through the historic Village at Winona.
Where: Winona Lake, Indiana. Transition and finish line located near the heart of the Village at Winona.

Why: To challenge your fitness in a beautiful setting while supporting the Optimist Club’s mission of "Bringing Out the Best in Youth, in our Communities, and in Ourselves." All proceeds benefit local youth programs and community initiatives.

We’re welcoming back guest speaker Allen Chartier this summer for another exciting program all about some of our most beloved summertime visitors – hummingbirds!Join us at the Elkhart Environmental Center on Saturday, June 27th from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM to enjoy a presentation by Allen, Project Director for the Great Lakes HummerNet, covering the HummerNet research project and how you can contribute your hummingbird sightings to it, hints on how to attract and feed hummingbirds at your home, tips on how to make your garden hummingbird-friendly, and more. Following the presentation, Allen will also provide a LIVE banding demonstration with hummingbirds he is able to catch at the EEC!Tickets start at $10 per person. It’s summer – time to get outdoors with kids! Join us for a special morning of activities for children five and under. We’ll explore the world of dirt by digging for worms, making mud pies, and painting with mud. We’ll also enjoy a worm story time and a dirt-themed treat. This program is free thanks to a generous grant from the Dr. Elmer R. Graber Youth Fund for Exploring Nature. Registration required by Monday, June 29.

It’s our 35th Anniversary and we want to celebrate with the community!
Join us for a special celebration and movie night on Saturday, July 18th at the Elkhart Environmental Center! We will be hosting two outdoor showings of Disney Pixar’s “Hoppers” – the first in Spanish from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM and the second in English from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Plan to bring your own blankets and/or lawn chairs to enjoy the film.
In addition to the movie, enjoy FREE face painting, cake, and popcorn!
No registration is required and it is FREE to attend.

Experience the park after hours for this neon orienteering challenge. Using maps and lanterns, navigate the terrain of St. Patrick’s County Park in search of glowing markers. Wear your brightest neon to add to the fun! Registration and payment required by Tuesday, July 28.

Meet a naturalist in the White Barn parking lot for a birding and nature hike while summer is in full swing! We will explore part of the park, observing the plants and birds we encounter. No birding experience necessary but bring binoculars if you have them. We will have loaners as well. Registration and payment due by Thursday, July 30.

Renew yourself amidst the shade of the pine trees as you enjoy yoga in the refreshing outdoors. Each session is geared towards ages 16+. Please bring your own mat, water, and towel. In case of rain or lightning, we will meet under the Pfeil Pavilion or in the White Barn Harvest Room. Registration and payment required by Thursday, July 30.
